Howlin’ at the Moon

The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, known for its thought-provoking exhibits, throws a visually stunning party each year to celebrate its patrons, featuring live music by New Galaxy, a tarot card reader, and portraits in front of the stellar Moon photo booth, as well as creative drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The invitation might say members only, but the price to become an annual supporter is well worth the benefits, including entry to this event as well as special gallery tours and receptions throughout the year. Halsey Institute, 161 Calhoun St. Friday, 7-9 p.m. Free for members; $40 individual membership.
