Hike Hobcaw: Rice Mill Ruins 

Want to work off those Christmas cals? Visit Hobcaw Barony, a privately owned research reserve that was the winter hunting retreat of early-19th-century Wall Street financier Bernard M. Baruch. This four-mile hike along trails that are usually closed to the public passes through a historical African-American community and the ruins of a brick rice mill.
