Blue Dogs Homecoming

Local Americana band the Blue Dogs celebrates its sixth annual homecoming and 30th anniversary at this benefit show for the new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The group has played for Charleston audiences since 1988, when standup bassist Hank Futch joined with friend, fellow Cub Scout, and guitarist and vocalist Bobby Houck. The band still performs along the East Coast at clubs, festivals, colleges, and several annual fundraisers, playing more shows for pediatric cancer research than any other type of charity. Charleston Music Hall, 37 John St. Saturday, 8pm. $125-$32.
