The 13th annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition will be presented as part of the 2019 North Charleston Arts Fest. Curated by Torreah ”Cookie“ Washington, an accomplished master art quilter, the exhibit is composed of works by more than 60 African American artists from across the nation and bases its theme on the lyrics of the song, “Black Gold,” by Esperanza Spalding. On May 2nd, a brief talk about the collection will be held at noon; a reception on all three floors of City Hall will begin at 6 p.m. North Charleston City Hall, 2500 City Hall Ln.
