Art + Social Justice: The legacy of the Freedom Riders

In association with Charles Williams’ SUN + LIGHT exhibition, a panelist of professionals will discuss the Freedom Riders, one of the most successful nonviolent groups that fought against Jim Crow Segregation laws. The panel features Dr. Raymond Arsenault, professor of Southern history and chairman of the department of history and politics at the University of South Florida; artist Charles Edward Williams; and Freedom Rider, Dr. Bernard LaFayette Jr. Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St. Wednesday, 6pm-7:30pm. $20 for members; $30 for non-members; $10 for students.
