Andrew Smith & Amelia Burrell

It was South Carolina college football that brought Mount Pleasant native Andrew and Amelia, of Anderson, together. The two met while rooting on their respective schools in the fall of 2006—she as a junior at USC and he, a recent graduate of Clemson. Despite the rivalry, the two hit it off, and close to five years later, Andrew proposed on Sullivan’s Island. The couple, who lives in Mount Pleasant, wed at RiverOaks in Awendaw.
