The groom’s mother loves to sketch cartoons so she created the invitation’s map.
Jeremy and Jacquelyn let simplicity, style, and savvy thinking rule their wedding. For example, a gorgeous, natural setting of sand, sea, sky, and salt marsh meant they didn’t have to create a grand backdrop themselves. Instead they used handmade touches (like subtle florals on dune fences) to accent the existing scenery in shades of green and chocolate brown.
To dress up bleached wood park structures, the bride and her pals hung clusters of green hydrangeas, roses, and orchids with zip ties before accenting them with chocolate-colored satin ribbon.
The couple bought flowers from a wholesale florist, then enlisted friends to craft arrangements, centerpieces, boutonnieres, and bridal party bouquets. The only outsourced floral was the bride’s bouquet.
Folly Beach has the fewest restrictions on beach weddings in the greater Charleston area.
The maid of honor used cardboard, chalkboard paint, and chalk to fashion signs for the wedding and reception locations, plus “Bride” and “Groom” signs for the newlyweds’ dining chairs.
