After The Cake Stand built us this double-decker almond cake, we sent it to Ooh! Events for budget-chic garnishing. The girls dipped into their stash of pretty papers to make this simple, but lovely garland, which we attached to the stand with glue dots. This cake serves 24 and is priced at $96.
The coconut cakes are layered with ganache and iced in Italian meringue buttercream.
This coconut cake had to be cut down mid-shoot to get the right visual proportions.
The gals at Ooh! Events rummaged around their supplies to find acorns and pinecones, which editor Melissa Bigner arranged on and around the three toasted coconut cakes made by The Cake Stand.
