Cynthia Rowley Sasses Up Bridesmaids Gowns
Cynthia “Slim” Rowley is all over the place these days, showing up on “Project Runway” as a guest judge, designing surf wear for Roxy and baby clothes for Babies ‘R’ Us, and even hitting the road in a tricked out van to sell her super-forward, super-stylish looks to followers across the country. That’s in addition to her beauty line with Target, her library of lifestyle and living well books, and oh, yeah, her exclusive shops that tend to reside in big cities—Charleston being the exception. And locally? You might know her as a frequent guest and judge at Charleston magazine’s Charleston Fashion Week’s Emerging Designer Competition, and as the hostess of fun CFW-related fetes at her King Street boutique.

As of June, brides—or really, their maids—can get in on the fun. That’s when Cynthia is releasing her line of flirty frocks for bridesmaids. Check out the collection in a special launch event June 9, 4-6:30 p.m. at the fabulous floral shop stems , on the corner of Cannon and Coming streets downtown. The Canapé will serve treats, models will wander about in the seriously pretty, colorful, and innovative—thank goodness!—dresses, and Southern Protocol event mavens will dress the early evening in garden-party trimmings. Charleston Weddings magazine will be there to giveaway free copies of the magazine, a pair of tickets to the Charleston Weddings Spring Bridal Show, and an hour’s wedding consultation with the editor (that’s me, Melissa Bigner!). Plus, CFW’s creative director and the magazine’s style editor, Ayoka Lucas, will be there vlogging and tweeting. We can’t wait to see you! For more information, call Cynthia’s King Street store at (843) 577-8013.
