Runway Raves: Barely There
Lay on the lace to give that sexy silhouette a “proper” makeover
This “illusion” trend might as well be called the best of both worlds, since it allows a woman to feel demure (yes, my cleavage is covered) while essentially sporting a strapless gown. Outlined with welting, like that along the sheer lace overlay atop Lazaro’s corseted bodice, or sewn with invisible seams, like Monique Lhuillier’s gowns, there are many ways to toy with the look.
