Local bridesmaid fashion pro Allison Long reports on trends and star sightings from Bridal Fashion Week 2009

Allison Long of Bella Bridesmaid here in Charleston just returned from the Bridal Fashion Week in New York, where designers debut their looks for spring 2010. Wondering what’s coming to Bella Bridesmaid in months?

“Lots of one-shoulders, soft colors and soft fabrics were seen along with updated versions of the tried and true classics,” says Allison.

Pop into the King Street shop for tales from their Manhattan fashionista trip. For starters, Allison met gown designer Amsale and fashion director Randy Fenoli from Kleinfeld’s (aka the shop from TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress”) at Martha Stewart Weddings magazine’s fifteenth anniversary party—at The Plaza, of course.

And besides attending shows (and ordering samples) from the likes of Jenny Yoo, Coren Moore, Melissa Sweet/Priscilla of Boston/Vineyard Collection, Two Birds Bridesmaid, and Simple Silhouettes, she also met with a handful of designers that, should things work out, will introduce their labels to Charleston.

For a peek at some fresh new looks for bridesmaids, call (843) 425-8079 or e-mail Allison at charleston@bellabridesmaid.com for an appointment, and mark your calendar for the next trunk show:
