Vienna, known for cultivating some of the world’s greatest musicians and composers, is the birthplace of countless works of musical genius. The home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Vienna was considered a cultural hub in Europe throughout the classical and romantic periods, and in this special performance, the Gaillard offers audiences some of its most prized compositions: Anton Webern’s Five Movements for strings, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 26 in D major, known as the ”Coronation” concerto, and Symphony No. 41 in C major, nicknamed the ”Jupiter” symphony.
