Last Friday evening I hit the street literally for the Gibbes on the Street: Framing the Future Party.  Just as the weather started cooling off for the night the crowds came dressed in "colorful" casual cocktail for an evening of celebration and surprises.

I left my diet at the door and joined the guests as we circulated from top chef to top chef. I don't know any other word to describe this luxury other than scrumptious! So many lovely Charleston favorites spilled into the street and of course my Street Style cam captured a few in action.

As you may have heard by now the Charleston Ballet Theatre delivered a sweet surprise, choreographed  by Jill Eathorne Bahr (master choreographer), shocking the audience with a flash mob style number that featured over 45 Gibbes Museum supporters, staff and sponsors! I have two things to say about this.

One- I  do believe she deserves some kind of award for teaching all of those people how to cut a rug (many of which I have never before seen even tap their toe to a tune).

And two- Jill, why didn't you call me? Everyone knows I LOVE a dance floor! It was so inspiring and truly represents the future of events in Charleston! Flash Mobs are THE trend these days!

What a great night under the stars!
