Yesterday, November 30th, kicked off the Lowcountry's Local First's Buy Local Week which advocates the benefits of a local living economy by strengthening community support for independent locally owned businesses and farmers. Basically, it is a week long party celebrating local food, movies, theatre and my personal fave- shopping! Check out http://www.lowcountrylocalfirst.org/events/Buy_Local_Week for your list of ways to participate this week and buy local!
