I am checking things off of my bucket list! I finally had the opportunity to witness a Cirque du Soleil performance and I am in awe! Alegriá opened last night at the North Charleston Coliseum and stole my breath away. Literally, I could not breath for much of the show as I watched acrobatic marvels, contortionists (my fave) and the costumes parading across the stage! Earlier this week I had the opportunity go behind the scenes to tour the wardrobe and costume set up for the show. It is a major operation! They travel with 18 trucks, two of which wardrobe takes up with washers and dryers and their own alterations department! Amazing! You don't want to miss this performance as it is beyond imagination and possibly super human! In the meantime, check out the behind the scenes photos from my backstage tour!
