It's that art filled time of year as Spoleto Festival USA arrives! Stay tuned in to the Style Blog to get the inside scoop on Spoleto fashion:

Spoleto's opening Fête on Friday took place behind their headquarters which was transformed into a lovely garden party. Post performances, the streets were filled with patrons dressed to the nines and walking down car blocked streets to get to the festivities.

This is where I spotted Bev Seinsheimer  wearing an incredible look designed by Mary Porter.  The guest continued to spill in to the party wearing their best, all pausing to witness the live fountain-like goddess sculpture complete with water spouting from her head and fingers. It was quite mesmerizing to watch and it turns out the costume design was done by a local College of Charleston professor. It was hard to pull myself away from trying discover how this water was so well connected to her body but the rest of the party was calling. The Lounge located upstairs in the Spoleto building was full of total ambience that featured specialty cocktails, ROOTS ice cream that attracted long lines and live piano with lounge style singer to boot.

Spoleto style seemed to be all about prints as this trend was seen in more abundance than any other for both male and female attendees.

As the party progressed songstress Quiana Parler took the stage singing classic hits that drove the crowds to the dancefloor! "I will survive" may have been the song that shifted the party into the next level of shaking booty! In the midst of all of this celebrating it was exciting to overhear guest chatting about the performances they had seen and just the thrill of the return of Spoleto.
