It may have been a rainy Saturday but stopping over to Mac and Murphy  for the NEST Valentine's Day Shopping Event was like a little bit of fashion sunshine! The bonus: the merchandise was created by and benefit female artisans from around the world. Not to mention everything is so affordable with prices that all fall below $40! I instantly fell in love with a wooden handled tote, the turkish bead necklaces and the pop color & print scarves. My time was well spent, chatting with the owners  of Mac and Murphy,Liz & Ami, touring the NEST products with Proud Mary co-owner Harper Poe and breaking my diet with a delicious yesUmay cookie! As I was leaving I mentioned to Liz and Ami how glad I was that I made the trip. They teased me because I, like many, seem to think this flourishing Cannon Street area is so far off the beaten path (of King Street).  So I now kindly refer to this location as Cannon Street Country as giggle at myself for thinking it was such a journey.
