Flirting With Art Hosted By The Gibbes
Model Becca Dupree
The Gibbes Museum of Art has shown Charleston that they are on the mark when it comes to a hot happening social scene. Last weekend Society 1858, a museum support group geared toward up and coming arts patrons, hosted Flirting With Art to a sold-out packed house! Yours truly had the pleasure of being Emcee for the catwalk portion of this event and I must say that it was a very hot runway with body painted models from the hands of some of Charleston's top artists which include Charles Ailstock, Sally King Benedict, Lese Corrigan, Nathan Durfee, Linda Fantuzzo, Kat Hastie, Tim Hussey, Leslie Pratt-Thomas, Lynne Riding, Kristi Ryba, Andrew Smock, and Mary Walker. The body art chosen was based on the exhibit Art of Our Time: Selections from the Ulrich Museum of Art. Klipart provided the tunes and the libations and heavy hors d’oeuvres were provided by Woodlands Inn. Take a look at our behind the scenes gallery and video blog capturing a few highlights from this flirty affair!
