Croghan's Host Private Lecture & Luncheon With Antique Jewelry Expert Diana Singer

A Mother's Day Hint

Last Wednesday I stepped away from the office for a special Luncheon hosted by Croghan's Jewel Box featuring private lecture from Diana Singer, leading national expert on antique jewelry. Where the accessories are there will I follow! The event was held in the most incredible South Battery home of Elizabeth Bradham where guest were greeted by the lovely sisters and owners of Croghan's, Marianna Ramsay Hay & Rhett Outten. After a moment of socializing and gushing over the antique jewelry Croghan's had on display (a percentage of sales was contributed to the Gibbes Museum of Art) we all sat down for the lecture titled, "Bangles to Angles: 1880-1930" led by Diana Singer. She walked us through the key details of accessories from the related time period which included, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and everything in between. It was quite entertaining to hear some of the almost taboo stories of a number of histories leading influencers of style. What a rowdy bunch they were but with innovative fashion sense might I add.
