I need super powers, a side kick and some kind of fierce amazing superhero catsuit as I find myself wanting to save the retail community from any more loss.
I need super powers, a side kick and some kind of fierce amazing superhero catsuit as I find myself wanting to save the retail community from any more loss. As a Style Editor it hurts a little to see stores closing down almost on a weekly basis! In the past month I have said goodbye to Nancy Koltes, Wonderland, Global Awakening, and now B’zar! So to keep spirits high in this economically down time, B’zar is hosting a Farewell Party on this Saturday, February the 7th, from 6 - 9 (ish) at their current location at 541 King Street. As you know, when B’zar’s owners Andrea and Gustavo Serrano throw a party (Kulture Klash) it is one not to miss on the social scene. They will be displaying all of the photo-shoots, posters, flyers spanning over the past 4 years as well as special guest Space Invaders presentations of a video installation showing all the fashion shows hosted by B’zar and footage from the past few Kulture Klash throw-downs! DJ James Belk will spin a blend of Mash Up, Hip Hop and House and (this is my favorite part) all remaining merchandise will be on sale from 50 -60 % off! Don’t be too sad! The Serrano’s will still be around as they will soon launch their own B’zar product line, continue to throw events (thank heavens), and their exclusive sneaker boutique Suite Sole will remain open.
So it’s a celebration! Don’t forget to sign the naked mannequin (yearbook style) as we reminisce over the last 4 years! Now back to that superhero suit…any side kicks available?
See you there and be on the look out for my Flip Cam as I will be video blogging the whole deal for a live Street Style shoot! Stay tuned for the Charleston Style Vlog coming soon!
