A Global Affair Gala, Bob Ellis Shoe Party, and Presents from Punks
I will always be a fan of good will and last weekend I was asked to be a special guest at the Possibilities without Borders event, A Global Affair Auction and Gala, which served as a fundraising effort to send medical supplies to Cameroon Africa.
My role was to select the best dressed male and female attending this semi-formal soiree. What a challenge! Held the College of Charleston's Beatty Center, The turn out was large and the fashion was exemplary. Watch the highlights of this charitable affair and see the dilemma I'm faced with in choosing the best dressed winners! It is a fun game to play - I will say that!
One of my favorite things about the end of the week is my Fashion Friday segment with 2 Girls and a Guy on 95sx! Apparently they have picked up the glam bug and hosted a huge shoe party at Bob Ellis after a month long giveaway promotion! Yes, ladies you heard me- Bob Ellis! Suitably, they gave away a brand spanking new pair of the highly coveted Christian Louboutins. Here is a short clip of the action!
Don't miss this year's Presents From Punks art show at Mellow Mushroom on King Street. This art bash serves an effort to raise money for the purchase of food and toys for the less fortunate this Holiday season. Dante's Camaro will be playing live and Rocky Horror is spinning his hits for your listening pleasure! The show starts at 8 p.m. and the best part is the art hanging on the walls will be available for under $50! I know this event tends to attract a very hip and chic crowd so I will be there checking out the scene! Affordable art for an amazing cause = GLAM!
While you are out shopping this weekend expect to hear delightful music provided by Classical Charleston's string quartet! Enjoy the sounds while shopping upper and lower King street. A little encouragement as you hustle for those last minute gift finds!
