Indulge in all things Southern with a day of barbecue, bluegrass under Summerville’s live oaks. Competing barbecue teams will slap more than 1,300 pounds of meat on the grill to determine the true pitmasters, while providing the tunes are Common Ground, led by Grammy-nominated Alan Bibey, and Lonesome River Band, featuring five-time International Banjo Player of the Year winner Sammy Shelor. Proceeds from the festival benefit Summerville Miracle League, which aims to better the lives of those with special needs through baseball.
