Since opening in February, this upper peninsula spot has become a new mecca for the beer-nerd set. Beverage manager and brewer Cameron Read has a rotating selection of house-made brews on tap, such as Golden Child (a sour golden ale) and Lord Proprietor’s Mild (an English mild ale), as well as more than 30 varieties by other brewers. On the menu, which also rotates frequently, we’re loving chef Andy Henderson’s Carolina Gold Rice heritage chicken porridge as well as the guinea hen.
