The Party: Came for the delicious food, stayed for the experience. With every type of cuisine, from O-Ku's sushi to buckets of steamed oysters, this party provided plenty of tasty fare—including more offerings from Indaco, Mercantile & Mash, and chef Jeremiah Bacon of The Macintosh. The party was staged in the alley behind PURE Theatre and meandered into The Macintosh’s outdoor patio. After grooving to live music by McKenzie Eddy and Elliott A. Smith of The Very Hypnotic Soul Band as well as Minimum Wage, guests bid on auction items such as a Crab Rock kayaking eco-tour, a four-course progressive dinner at King Street restaurants, and original works from artists Paul Cristina, Nathan Durfee, Tim Hussey, Sara Pittman, and Fletcher Williams.
Highlight: Fresh oysters ready for the shucking paired perfectly with The Cocktail Club’s “Double Standard” drink: serrano-infused gin, cucumber vodka, ginger, lime, cilantro, and celery bitters
Overheard: “Today, we are all on stage.”
Beneficiary: PURE Theatre
