Spoleto Hay Fever Party

The air was dewy from the fresh rainfall, but no one seemed concerned by the added humidity at the Gaillic-themed Spoleto Hay Fever party. At 9 Limehouse, home of gracious hosts Preston and Christine Wilson, cast and crew along with patrons gathered to celebrate the classic Noël Coward play. A grand tent spread across the spacious lawn. Underneath imported Irish spirits, fish and chips, and a Irish band-complete with harp, fiddle, and drum-entertained the crowd.
High-heeled guests made use of the tables to sit a spell while others snagged an actor to dish about the show. Those who had seen the production were effusive. The Dublin Gate Theatre performers, being no strangers to Spoleto, seemed right at home in the shadow of the 1856 mansion. Lucky ones needing to use the Lou even got a tour. Inside Christine toured visitors through the museum-quality objects and rooms whose plaster molding looked like it had been piped onto an audacious wedding cake. As the evening wore on, partygoers grabbed fish and chips for the road and headed off on foot into the South of Broad moonlight.
