Few people knew what to expect from the Kukso Koo Fall Collection Debut party, but guests found themselves in awe as they walked down the red carpet to join the crowd. The red carpet ended in a photo booth, and fashionistas mugged for the camera before wandering through the incredible gardens at the Gaillard-Bennett House.

The beautiful courtyard and landscaping at the Gaillard-Bennett House had partygoers feeling like they had stepped into a secret garden, and guests milled about with glasses of wine or light bites. Those with VIP tables soon made their way to the patio and gazebo area, where a runway had been constructed over a pool. The rest of the crowd vied for seats on the other side of the hedge, where the runway ended.

Ayoka Lucas took to the stage as the night's emcee, and soon Kukso Koo’s creations debuted on the catwalk. International designer Kukso Koo, who is known also as the design consultant for iconic fashion house Roberto Cavalli, strives to create harmony and beauty, mystery and wonder through his works, and he delivered what can only be described as a dramatic night of fashion. Sweeping romantic looks were followed by edgier metallic garments and a series of sheer ensembles, and models donned leg jewelry, masks, and intense, fierce makeup for the show.

The night ended with an enthusiastic round of applause, and some grateful words from Erin Pruitt, director of Walk for Autism - Charleston, which was the beneficiary of the evening’s festivities.

Walk for Autism - Charleston is a non-profit that strives to develop and implement strategies that cultivate community partnerships, and foster financial support for the treatment and intervention of autism. The organization hosts an annual walk during April each year to celebrate Autism Awareness month.
