Fashion Alley: A Vintage Fashion Show

Some of Charleston's hottest vintage ensembles were showcased on a bowling alley-turned-runway to benefit Girls Rock! Charleston.

While the idea of a fashion show taking place in a bowling alley certainly struck some partygoers as curious, those who attended Fashion Alley: A Vintage Fashion Show at the The Charleston Rifle Club Bowling Alley found the old-fashioned lanes to be the perfect backdrop for an evening of vintage finery. Guests dusted off their best thrift store or vintage finds to compete in the costume contest, and the results made for some great people-watching.

Gentlemen in hats and suspenders milled about the Auto Bahn Vietnamese Sandwich food truck outside, while ladies in sweeping maxi dresses and chic shift dresses grabbed a drink and perused the extensive pop up shop in the lobby.

Though the fashion show got off to a bit of a late start due to a medical situation, DJ Suds of Creative Sound turned the beats back up and got the party started. Partygoers enjoyed vintage looks from the likes of Jess James, Textured Vintage, JLINSNIDER, Rogue Wave Surf Shop, Thimbles, Rhett Boyd Vintage Collection, and Groove Girl Vintage

As the last of the vintage ensembles stepped from the catwalk, partygoers were invited to hang out, shop, and bowl. The runway quickly turned back into a bowling alley, and guests were welcome to try their luck.

Fashion Alley: A Vintage Fashion Show benefited Girls Rock! Charleston, a local  organization which strives to empower girls and transgender youth through music, education, DIY media, and creative collaboration.
