Chefs’ Feast

February 27, 2011

On February 27, 2011, Lowcountry Food Bank hosted its 12th annual Chefs’ Feast at the Embassy Suites Charleston Area Convention Center,

where 26 talented local chefs—including Chefs’ Feast founder Robert Carter of Peninsula Grill, as well as Ken Vedrinski of Trattoria Lucca, M. Kelly Wilson of Kiawah Island Club, Sean Brock of McCrady’s and Husk, and Sean Park of O-Ku—prepared delectable dishes for all to enjoy. That night of great food and drink for a great cause raised $150,000 in support of the Kids Café program, providing hot, nutritious meals and academic assistance to children in the Lowcountry, and BackPack Buddies, which combats weekend hunger with backpacks filled with healthy snacks.
