Help Itinerant Literate Books hit the road

“Here in Charleston, there are tons of places to eat and to buy clothes and art, but not many where you can interact with books on a personal level,” says Julia Turner. As the founders of Itinerant Literate Books—a bookstore on wheels—she and Christen Thompson intend to change that.

Curated selections of tomes will be displayed within an Airstream trailer that’ll set up shop at locales around town, as well as at special events. Turner and Thompson hope to make the bookmobile a reality by the end of 2015 with help from an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign running through October 7.

Learn more at itinerantliteratebooks.com, where you’ll also find a calendar of the enterprise’s upcoming events, including a pop-up shop at the October 10th Oblique Health & Fitness Expo.
