The College of Charleston got a little greener last fall with the Office of Sustainability’s establishment, and city residents are already reaping the rewards. From April 2 through 5, visit the campus for its inaugural Sustainability Week. A few highlights? On Monday, a Transportation Fair showcases ways to get around town—from buses to scooters—and features bike workshops, safety seminars, and more. Tuesday brings a screening of turtle harvesting documentary Between the Harvest, and Wednesday’s Local Farms Fair offers a chance to meet the folks who grow our food. But the event that’ll really get eco-enthusiasts geeking out: a Thursday night lecture by Bill McKibben, founder of climate campaign 350 and “the world’s best green journalist” according to Time.
