With the holidays upon us, gifting and giving’s on our minds. And from the looks of December’s roundup of sales and soirées, the same goes for local retailers, too. From gown boutiques and clothiers to stationers and jewelers—all are in on making this season merry with some superb goings-on. So pull out your planners for part one of our two-week holiday event listing rollout! (P.S. With nearly a dozen happenings geared toward the guys, you’ll want to share this run-down with your man, too.)

The RSVP Shoppe’s hosting a holiday drop-in tonight from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and we suggest you do just that. As a participant of this weekend’s 9th Annual Shopping with Friends event, 10 percent of the shop’s proceeds will go toward Lowcountry Aids Services, so purchase some of their paper pretties and leave feeling good.

Next Thursday, December 6, join in the jeweler’s annual holiday celebration, which will feature an Alex Sepkus trunk show, appetizers, cocktails, and a complimentary carriage ride through downtown Greenville. Plus, fitting for this season of giving, with every jewelry purchase made that evening, a donation will be given to Greenville Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (GAIHN).
