How to entertain everyone from tiny tots to tweens on your guest list

Halloween is right around the corner, and we’ve got kids and treats on the brain. If you’ve invited children to showers, rehearsal dinners, or receptions—no matter the time of year—be sure to keep them entertained. To that end, take a gander at some of the fun crafts mac & murphy owners Liz and Ami dreamed up. Set aside a kid's table and let them go to town. Tip: Appoint an older child to supervise.
365 Paper Chain
Here’s the idea: Kids make a paper chain with 365 links and give the finished craft to the newlyweds. The newlyweds tear off a link each day thereafter, and when none remain, it’s anniversary time! It only requires a few tools (paper, ruler, pencils, scissors, and adhesive). For directions, click here.
Thank You Cards
Every new couple needs thank you notes, so why not get budding artists to help out? Ask the kids to decorate plain, pre-cut and assembled stationery with construction or craft paper for one-of-a-kind creations. For directions, click here.
Perky Pinwheel Place Cards
These place cards are a great way to get older tweens or teens involved, since they take a little more brainwork to make.
