Brent Thacker of Film Anywhere Productions is helping us to celebrate the release of the new Fall-Winter 2012 issue of Charleston Weddings by offering readers a grand video package giveaway. If this sounds a wee bit familiar, it’s because we partnered with him for a similar giveaway last spring. The lucky couple—Amanda and Marcus Taylor—who won that package tied the knot a few weeks ago and we just heard back from them. See their “love story” and the film short of their Big Day.
Both are definitely worth a peek, as who doesn’t love a great romance? Especially a genuine one like theirs that’s played out across the Lowcountry landscape, complete with horse riding along the beach at Seabrook, shooting skeet in the country, sailing into the Charleston Harbor, and riding a BMX motorcycle tandem across area bridges. And all that footage doesn’t even cover the actual wedding, with its dancing, speeches, and more… Winners are chosen at random, but wow, this couple sure gave Brent and his wife, Sarah, a lot to work with. The imagery has a silver screen quality to it and the way the gracious couple’s story is told with interviews really does rival a Hollywood romance flick. As for the groom, Marcus, he says the videos blew him away.
“With four married brothers, I have seen a lot of wedding videos,” says Marcus, “but not anything like the production Brent created. Sure, there are cool images of horses, sailing, motorcycles, shooting, and me dipping my bride while stealing a kiss, but it is not so much the images as it is the way they have been put together. Looking back, I can’t believe we actually considered not getting a video package. These videos will be the memory that we continue to share with friends and family and the first thing we will turn to on those milestone anniversaries.”
