Michelle Wood, a Charleston native, lived the life of an international model for more than 16 years. She was discovered here in Charleston and moved to New York City when she was 18 to pursue her modeling career.

Michelle has been represented by The Ford Modeling Agency in New York and Paris, as well as by a number of other internationally-known and boutique modeling agencies. She has graced the runways for Armani, Chanel, Vivienne Westwood, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan and Bill Blass. She has appeared in fashion shows in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Sydney, and Tokyo.

In early 2009, Michelle decided to move home to Charleston to be closer to her family and to pursue a career on the business-side of the modeling and fashion industries. As Model Coach for Charleston Fashion Week since 2010, as well as through her roles in model development for local talent and model agencies and through various volunteer and charitable positions, Michelle hopes to be a role model to aspiring models. She hopes to help mold their careers while also teaching them that it is possible to have a successful career in the modeling industry while staying true to your values and yourself.

With her abundance of knowledge in the industry she hopes to help Charleston evolve into a contributing member of the national and international modeling and fashion scenes.

Michelle currently resides in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
