FRANCISCA PALAZUELOS

Born in Santiago, Chile and now residing in Charleston, artist Francisca Palazuelos creates stark prints of seaside escapes and frosty mountaintops using traditional woodcut printmaking techniques. After living and traveling in Spain, Mexico, and all over the United States, Palazuelos draws inspiration from the various landscapes she has encountered. Throughout her artist residency at the Gibbes, museum patrons are invited to visit with Palazuelos during open studio hours. Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St. Tuesday & Thursday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.
