Train

Train
August 2010

It’s been a bumpy ride for Train—following the chart-topping success of their eponymous debut (including hit “Meet Virginia”) and the Grammy-winning “Drops of Jupiter,” the group sort of derailed—but after a three-year hiatus, the roots rock band is back on track.

Last fall’s release of Save Me, San Francisco marked a welcome return to their relaxed, organic sound, and smooth vocals and rolling melodies once again carry listeners along through catchy pop numbers like “Hey, Soul Sister” and “I Got You” as well as poetic ballads such as “Marry Me.” And with the inspirational lyricists of S.C.-based NEEDTOBREATHE on board to open, this show will be worth pulling into the station for.

Family Circle Cup Stadium, 161 Seven Farms Dr., Daniel Island. Thursday, August 26, 6 p.m. doors; 7 p.m. show. $39.50. www.familycirclecup.com
