Each of my dresses tells a story, emotionally connecting the wearer. Simple shapes bring out the female form, and staining, over-dyeing, and distressing enriches the luxurious fabrics. The pieces in this collection—inspired by the physicality of color to background—capture a moment, a brushstroke, or a splash that can never be repeated in exactly the same way. Expect a Rothko, a de Kooning, a Kline. The concept is dictated by the drama on the canvas, its rectangular shape and minimal structure, its passage between creator and collector.
