Walk the Walk
Charleston Fashion Week® hosts its open model casting starting today!
Are you the next Charleston Fashion Week® (CFW) model success story? Find out this weekend as one of the nation’s premier fashion events holds its open model castings for the 2013 event. Don’t miss out on your chance to gain experience and exposure among fashion’s top scouts and tastemakers; come show us what you’ve got!
CFW is widely considered a launchpad for careers in fashion modeling and design; former models have gone on to land contracts with agencies, including IMG, Elite, IKON, and Ford. CFW alumni have also secured jobs with Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz Miami Fashion Week, Seventeen, GQ, ELLE, Rolling Stone, America’s Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, Oscar de la Renta, and Gilt Groupe, among others. “After walking in numerous fashion weeks across the globe, I can honestly say that Charleston Fashion Week® competes with every other fashion week I have participated in,” says former CFW model Christina Zapolski who was signed by FORD.
Models casted for CFW 2013 will train with renowned coach Michelle Wood and receive payment, a profile on CFW’s website, and a gift bag valued at $500. In addition, each participating model selected to walk in a CFW runway show will be eligible for the Rock the Runway Model Competition™.
Applicants must meet the height requirements of 5'7" (women, without heels) and 5'10" (men). (Height will be checked prior to each casting call, and models under the required height will NOT be permitted to audition.) And model hopefuls under the age of 18 are required to attend with a guardian. So ladies grab your stilettos and guys get ready to strut; CFW’s looking for talent and you might be next!
