Strut Your Stuff Step up for Charleston Fashion Week’s final open casting tomorrow
WRITTEN BY AYOKA LUCAS
As the time approaches for the glamour-filled Charleston Fashion Week (CFW) under the tents at Marion Square, our energies are focused on the models, whose style and professionalism set the tone for each runway presentation. This fall, we announced the exciting debut of the Rock the Runway Model Competition, which has already attracted some of the nation’s top agencies (who are set to attend and scout in March) and more than 200 runway hopefuls.
Missed our November casting call? Don’t fret! This Saturday, December 12, at 1 p.m., CFW will hold its final open casting for the 2010 shows at Art Institute of Charleston. Our runway panel will be looking for models who can demonstrate a high-fashion walk and passion for this industry. The stakes are high, so be prepared and practice, practice, practice! Among the top 10 Rock the Runway Model Competition candidates, only one lucky model will take the grand prize—an all-expenses-paid photo shoot with composite cards from MODELSCOUT, Inc., a fashion spread in Charleston magazine or another Gulfstream publication, a two-night Las Vegas getaway including airfare, and $1,000.
