The Shifa Clinic hosts its 5th annual benefit dinner with guest speaker Jennet Robinson Alterman, a non-profit consultant and women's rights advocate. The Mount Pleasant clinic, currently run by Medical Director Dr. Reshma Khan, was founded five years ago to provide residents with free, high-quality medical care, including primary care, gynecology services, vision care, and mental health services. Along with medical services, the clinic also includes an on-site community food pantry, dispensary, and clothes closet, and it offers various educational programs and training for medical professionals and nurse practitioner students. The annual benefit dinner supports the Shifa Clinic's fundraising efforts for the upcoming year and awareness for the continuation of the facility.
