You only have a few more weeks to catch two spectacular exhibitions at the Gibbes Museum. The first examines the core concepts of the Romantic Movement in the American South, while the other demonstrates the influence of Japanese art on Charleston’s Renaissance period. This display of intertwining cultures is sure to give you a new perspective and maybe even a little inspiration to get your own creative juices flowing. Curator-led tours are also available. Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St. Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm; Sunday, 1-5pm. $9; $7 senior/student/military; $5 ages six-12; free for child under 6 and on Sundays.
