Quartett

Based on Heiner Müller‘s 1982 play, Quartett is a dark comedy about an 18th-century love set in an apocalyptic future. This production, performed as an opera, is brought to life by composer Luca Francescon‘s use of two orchestras. A totally immersive experience, the show is conducted by Spoleto Festival director of orchestral activities, John Kennedy, and directed by John Fulljames. Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain St. Sunday, 7:30pm; Wednesday, 7pm. $110-$45.
