Did you know Charleston, as well as many other American arts communities, had a fascination with Japanese art in the early 20th century? “The Great Wave: Japonisme in Charleston“ features 35 works from the Read-Simms Collection of Japanese prints accompanied by works produced by Charleston artists. Enjoy a private tour of the exhibition, and then join artist Kate MacNeil for lunch and a woodblock printing demonstration at Redux Contemporary Art Center. Take home your very own print to show off!
