Hope on Goat

Oyster roasts might be a dime a dozen this time of year in the Lowcountry, but this bivalve bonanza is unlike any other! Bring your own beer and hop on board the ferry for a short journey to Goat Island, where Americana band Bourbon & Mead and bluegrass group Southern Flavor await. All proceeds go toward North Charleston’s Fresh Future Farm, a nonprofit that addresses food, health, economic, and environmental concerns. Goat Island Gatherings, 4113 Buccaneer Rd., Isle of Palms. Saturday, 2-6pm. $55; $20 ages three-12; free for children under three. WWW.freshfuturefarm.org
