Although tea drinking was popularized in France around 1636, stylish high-society teas became a Southern staple in the 1920s and 30s. Join the Friends of Andre Michaux for an afternoon of food, music, tea, and nostalgia among the beautiful gardens at Magnolia Plantation. Proceeds from the event support the Friends of Michaux Charleston Garden Project in their efforts to preserve the gardens at the site of the French botanist’s home and garden.
