It was smooth sailing at the SOS: Black & White party despite the torrential downpour that evening. Partygoers stepped out (and over the puddles) in their finest cocktail and black tie attire for the nautical-themed gala, and they were properly greeted with a signature cocktail sporting a sassy black and white straw from the SOS saloon upon their entrance to Harborside East.
A fashionable, young crowd quickly filled the room, and guests floated between the silent auction and seafood bar during the cocktail hour, whetting their appetites on mussels, shrimp cocktail, and enormous scallops that were plated on chic seashells.
Then it was off to the enclosed patio and lounge area, which still offered beautiful views of the Charleston Harbor despite the rainy weather. A taco bar offered everyone their choice of masterfully prepared proteins and toppings, while steak, pasta, and fries attracted those with larger appetites. Those who attended enjoyed their savory bites on lounges before heading back inside.
All hands were on deck at the yacht-themed photo booth, where guests donned sailor hats, life vests, and bouys before mugging for the camera. The Party Band Yacht Rock Schooner kicked off the dance party with their energetic covers, and guests rocked out until late in the evening.
