Art appreciators and gourmands joined forces for Charleston Fine Arts Dealers' annual Palette & Palate Stroll. Guests meandered from Church Street to Queen taking in eight galleries while enjoying small bites from the city's top toques. It was a sold out event, which made for cozy corners amongst some of the tinier galleries, but spirits were high thanks to free-flowing wine and specialty cocktails. BLU restaurant on Folly Beach made a splash with a bountiful spread of scallops, figs, and a vodka peach infusion cocktail flavored with tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation at Elle W. Richardson Fine Art. Meanwhile, artist Shannon Runquists' cheerful still lifes of cheese cake, lemons, sweet tea, and crabs fit in perfectly with the evenings foodie theme at Horton Hayes Fine Art. There chef Jeremiah Bacon joined the crew at Oak serving spicy sausage.

The line ran out the door at Smith Killian Fine Art where star chef Sean Brock was on hand dishing up Charleston shrimp and corn kimchi on Bibb lettuce as guests enjoyed the expansive neon hued landscapes. Back on the street strollers made their way to Meeting where Social restaurant held court for the remaining few minutes at the Wells Gallery. By the time we arrived the mini BLT's with cherry tomatoes and sugared bacon had been devoured. As the clock struck eight guests departed satiated by fine art and fine food.
