After the Show
Are all of the nighttime Spoleto performances leaving you hungry? Fear not! Here are five best bets for post-event bites that pair perfectly with your show of choice

written by kate Butler

Butcher & Bee
Do the comic book tales of The Intergalactic Nemesis have you craving an equally eclectic mélange? Head to Butcher & Bee to find báhn mì, quinoa salad, and Moroccan carrots on the menu next to hot dogs and sandwiches. It’s BYOB, so pick your own spirits to carry in. 654 King St. Thursday-Saturday, til 3 a.m. 619-0202, butcherandbee.com

Halls Chophouse
Follow your classical concerto with a top-dollar meal that’s up to par with your sophisticated palate. From steaks and chops to seafood and salads, this tony restaurant keeps the party going late. 434 King St. Monday-Thursday, til 11 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, til midnight. 727-0090, hallschophouse.com

Basil Thai Cuisine
A tapestry of voices and instrumentals, Chinese opera Matzukaze is a feast for the ears. For another taste of the Far East, select from a menu of Thai dishes, such as shrimp fried rice, noodles, and curries, in this cozy spot. Monday-Thursday, til 10:30 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, til 11 p.m; Sunday, til 10 p.m. 460 King St. 724-3490, eatatbasil.com

39 Rue de Jean
If your stomach hasn’t tumbled away with the acrobats in Le Grand C, chances are you’ll want to chase the stunning spectacle with something just as French. Grab a seat at Rue’s classic brasserie bar and enjoy a limited menu and cocktails. 39 John St. Monday-Saturday, til 1 a.m. at the bar. 722-8881, 39ruedejean.com

Muse Restaurant & Wine Bar
You don’t have to go far to get your fill of Italian romance. After a double-bill of one-acts Le Villi and Mese Mariano, indulge in la dolce vita with braised duck, chicken ragu, and shellfish stew, or a limited menu until midnight on weekends. 82 Society St. Sunday-Thursday, til 10 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, til midnight. 577-1102, charlestonmuse.com
