The party was poppin’ at the 4th Annual Bubbly and Brew... literally. Partygoers cracked the champagne and sipped on local brew in support of My Sister’s House, the only shelter-based program serving domestic violence victims in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, at Harborside East on Friday, September 28.

The libations were flowing as a large crowd filled the sleek, contemporary space, and the crowd soon found their way out to the patio, where they enjoyed scenic views of the Ravenel Bridge and the Charleston Harbor before hitting the food stations.

The Glass Onion served up some tasty jambalaya, while Rue de Jean dished up gourmet fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese and Home Team BBQ plated up miniature pulled pork sliders and pork rinds with house made pimento cheese.

Guests then headed inside for sweet treats from Long Island Cafe, Kudzu Bakery, and High Thyme Cuisine and the lively sounds from party band Love Butter. A photo booth kept everyone entertained, and then it was time for the live auction.

My Sister’s House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a 24-hour crisis line and shelter, as well as deposits on new safe apartments, children’s clothing for school, legal help, counseling, and many other services.
