CHARLESTON TO CHARLESTON LITERARY FESTIVAL

Across the pond in Sussex, England, stands the Charleston Farmhouse, a unique museum that once served as a sanctuary for burgeoning writers, drawing the likes of T.S. Eliot, Virginia Woolf, and many others. For the last 28 years, the museum has hosted one of the most famed small literary gatherings in Europe, the Charleston Festival. This year, for the first time, the Holy City and her English counterpart join forces for a new, stateside fest: Charleston to Charleston, hosted by the Charleston Library Society. This four-day event kicks off on Thursday, November 2, with a red carpet premiere of the new movie Breathe, followed by readings, discussions, and lectures by acclaimed international authors. Locations, times, & prices vary.
